Hawkesbury Literature Festival on 23rd April 2019

Following the growing success of the  Hawkesbury Upton Literature Festival (HULF) in 2015, 2016, 23017 and 2018, an extended , bigger event took place this year!

All Diesel Publishing’s books were on sale, including fictional work ‘Uncle Walter’s Secret’ by Will Fenn, and ‘Fifty Shades of Yarg’, also by Will Fenn, who joined a panel of authors to talk about what inspires their writing.


Long John Silver Trust Cruised Round Bristol Harbourside

The children of Briarwood School, Fishponds, enjoyed a wild portrayal of Treasure Island by pirate captain ‘Dark Whiskers’ Mark Steeds and buccaneer ‘Billy Bones’ Fairney.  Briarwood School is a Bristol school for children and young people aged 3-19 with severe learning difficulties.

– The Treasure Island Trail

The Long John Silver Trust , whose Treasure Island Trail of Planter Barrels was placed around the Bristol Harbourside, in 2017 together with an Audio App, brings to life the history of Bristol and its maritime heritage – as told in our book ‘The Bristol Treasure Island Trail’  During the summer months the Trust hosted guided walks around the Trail on thje last Saturday of each month.  These walks will resume in 2020 from March onwards until October.
